Our History
Inter Andaimes was founded in Lisbon in 2008, at a moment when the Portuguese urban rehabilitation market was beginning a period of significant growth. The founders, with backgrounds in civil construction and metal structures, saw a clear gap: the market needed a supplier that combined technical rigour, modern certified equipment, and a genuinely responsive service.
In the early years, the business focused on Greater Lisbon, serving rehabilitation contractors and medium-sized building companies. The quality of the work and the reliability of deliveries drove growth through referral — without advertising campaigns. By 2014, with ISO 9001 certification formalised and an established own fleet, coverage expanded to the entire Portuguese mainland.
Today, Inter Andaimes is a recognised partner on new-build construction, historic building rehabilitation, industrial facilities and events. Our equipment fleet — completely renewed in 2020 with next-generation systems — is among the most modern in the sector in Portugal.

Certified Quality
We operate to EN 12810, EN 12811 and EN 12812. Our ISO 9001:2015 QMS means every process — from goods-in to final dismantling — is documented, controlled and audited annually.

Every project is different. We work closely with contractors, project owners and safety coordinators to deliver exactly what was agreed — on time and within budget.

Our Team
Behind every erected scaffold is a team of trained professionals: workers with specific technical certification, experience built across hundreds of sites, and a strong sense of personal responsibility. At Inter Andaimes, we recruit carefully and invest continuously in our people.
Our erection crews hold certified training in work at height and scaffolding assembly, as required by Portuguese Decree-Law 273/2003. Field teams are supervised by responsible technicians who oversee the critical phases of each project and sign off on the mandatory scaffold erection and use plan (PMUA).

The ability to serve clients across the whole of Portugal — with short lead times and consistently available stock — is built on owned infrastructure developed over fifteen years.
Central Warehouse
Over 4,000 m² of covered storage for equipment warehousing, maintenance and inspection. Location-coded racking system enabling rapid picking for any site order.
Own Fleet
Variable-capacity vehicles from urgent small-volume vans to crane lorries for large structural elements. The entire fleet is managed and serviced internally.
Stock Management
Computerised traceability for every component: condition status, inspection history, current location and availability for new projects.
National Coverage
Active projects across Lisbon, Porto, Centro, Alentejo and Algarve regions. Maximum 48-hour response time to any location on the Portuguese mainland.
Maintenance & Inspection
In-house maintenance workshop where all equipment is inspected before each delivery. Out-of-specification elements are repaired or permanently retired — never sent to site.
Rapid Response
In construction, delays have real costs. We maintain permanent stock of critical components and an urgent enquiry line for situations that cannot wait for normal lead times.
